VinUni Community Chat with Parents at Open Day 2025

Higher education is constantly evolving, from new programs and new teaching methods to even new career paths emerging every day. As things change, many parents find themselves wondering: How do I choose an environment for my child that is stable enough to feel secure, yet dynamic enough to adapt to a fast-changing world?

To help parents navigate these questions, VinUni Community at Open Day 2025 will host two special discussion sessions – where parents and the university can meet and engage in open dialogue to explore the best pathways for your children’s future.

✨ Session 1 | Raising Global Citizens Together – The Roles of Family and the University

Today’s higher education focuses on internationalization and nurturing global citizens — young people who are confident to learn, grow, and make their mark anywhere in the world. In this session, parents will have the opportunity to:

• Learn how VinUni supports students through academic programs, cultural experiences, and international exchange opportunities.
• Hear real stories shared by VinUni students and parents whose children have confidently stepped into the world, including:

✨ Session 2 | A New Path for the Young Generation: Learning – Research – Entrepreneurship at an international university environment in Vietnam

More and more parents are realizing that Vietnam now has world-class universities, where students can learn, conduct research, and start entrepreneurial journeys all in one place. In this session, representatives from VinUni and students will share about:

• Academic programs connected closely to real-world applications, applied research, and innovation.
• The journey of VinUni students in building resilience, creativity, and the ability to create meaningful value for society from speakers:

With the thoughtful sharing from speakers and parents, both sessions were filled with meaningful insights, honest reflections, and plenty of heartfelt moments, leaving everyone with new perspectives and a little extra confidence for the journey ahead.

Amid the rapid transformation of higher education, what parents hope for is often simple yet profound: to see their children grow, gain confidence, and be happy with the choices they make. With that in mind, the two conversational sessions created a warm and genuine space where parents, students, and the university came together with one shared goal: supporting students to learn, develop, integrate, and assert themselves in a new era.

The sessions were filled with valuable takeaways from multiple perspectives:

• Strategic insights on accompanying students into higher education – shared by professors, scientists, and academic leaders who not only design teaching methods and open opportunities for research and global exchange, but also stay closely engaged with students throughout their journey.

• “Grow through experience, or experience through growth?” – A powerful lens drawn from the journeys of VinUni students and alumni who are becoming global citizens while exploring opportunities in research and entrepreneurship.
