Cozy Coffee Chat with HCM Parents 2025

November 5, 2025

Each year, many families in the South place their trust in VinUni by supporting their children to move to Hanoi for university – a “journey to the North” that is both exciting and full of emotions. Behind the joy of being admitted to a dream university are worries: the fear that distance might make it harder to stay connected and care for your child; concerns about who will be there when they get sick or feel overwhelmed far away from home.

Understanding those heartfelt concerns, VinUni Community is delighted to invite Southern-based parents to an intimate Coffee Chat on November 1st. Following the warm and enthusiastic reception from last year’s event, this gathering continues to be a special opportunity for us to share experiences of supporting our children from afar and learn more about student life and academic programs at VinUni.

  • Time: 17:00 – 19:00 | Saturday, November 1, 2025
  • Venue: 24 Pham Ngoc Thach, Ward 6, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City

In the cozy and friendly atmosphere of this Coffee Chat, together we had:

✨ Addressed common concerns about academics, student life, and personal growth;

✨ Received updates on important school activities and events;

✨ Connected and exchanged experiences with other VinUni parents;

✨ Engaged in open Q&A and conversations with university leaders and representatives, including:

  • MS. Nguyen Hong Ha, Vice Provost of Academic Administration
  • Prof. Duong Nguyen Vu, Vice Provost of Graduate Education
  • PhD. Ho Hong Hai, Vice Dean, College of Business and Management (CBM)
  • MD, PhD. Le Cu Linh, Executive Vice Dean, College of Health and Sciences (CHS)
  • RN, PhD, Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoa Huyen, Director of Nursing Program, College of Health and Sciences (CHS)
  • Ms. Le Thi Ha My, Financial Aid Officer (FAO)

From questions about the 5+1+1 residency program, opportunities to pursue a master’s degree at UPenn, career pathways after graduation to stories about student life, internships, military training, mentorship, and networking – every concern of HCMC parents was heard and thoughtfully addressed. Each question reflected a parent’s care and curiosity, and each response reaffirmed VinUni’s commitment to quality education and lifelong partnership with our students.

Every story told, every sentiment shared, made the evening not only an opportunity for parents to understand more about their children’s learning journeys out there in Hanoi, but also for the university to better understand what truly matters to parents. Perhaps the most meaningful part of the conversation wasn’t in the answers themselves — but in the nods, smiles, and the comforting realization that no parent walks this path alone.

As the evening drew to a close, many parents stayed to continue chatting, showing the genuine warmth and connection built through honest conversations. The stories shared, the smiles exchanged, and the reassuring looks from parents are the greatest motivation for VinUni Community to keep nurturing these meaningful connections.

VinUni Community sincerely thanks all parents for taking the time to join, share, and help us create such a meaningful Coffee Chat. We look forward to seeing you again at our upcoming gatherings!
